How to reach us.
For help with Foveaux, email help@foveaux.app.
We aim to respond within one New Zealand business day — Monday to Friday, excluding NZ public holidays. For most things, you’ll hear back much sooner.
What we cover
- Account setup, employee invitations, and admin questions
- Bugs, broken features, and unexpected behaviour
- Billing questions, invoice copies, and subscription changes
- Data export, data deletion, and access requests
Urgent issues
If something is blocking your team from recording time, put Urgent in the subject line. We’ll prioritise it.
What it costs, and how we charge.
Pricing
Both charges recur monthly. All prices are in New Zealand Dollars (NZD) and exclude GST. Where applicable, GST is added at the standard New Zealand rate on each invoice.
Free trial
New customers receive a 14-day free trial. No credit card is required to start. You have full access to Foveaux during the trial. At the end of the trial, your account will not auto-charge — you choose whether to subscribe.
Billing cycle
Foveaux subscriptions are billed monthly in advance. Your first invoice is issued on the day you subscribe; subsequent invoices are issued on the same day of each month.
Adding or removing employees
If you add employees during a billing cycle, the additional charge appears on your next invoice — we don’t bill mid-cycle. If you remove employees, the change takes effect at the start of the next billing cycle.
Cancellation
You can cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle, and you retain full access until that date. There is no cancellation fee.
Refunds
Foveaux does not provide refunds for partial billing cycles. If you cancel mid-cycle, no refund is issued for the unused portion — you simply continue to have access until your current cycle ends.
Failed payments
If a payment fails, we’ll email the billing contact and attempt to reprocess the charge over the next 7 days. If the payment remains unsuccessful after 14 days, the account is suspended (data preserved). After 30 days of suspended status, the account enters the cancellation grace period described under Data retention.
Price changes
We may change pricing with at least 30 days’ written notice by email. Your subscription continues at the current price until the next renewal after that notice period.
What we keep, for how long.
What we store
Foveaux stores the data you and your employees enter through the app — primarily time entries (date, hours, work code, chargeable status), work-code customisations, and basic profile information (name, email address, role). We also store the standard authentication records required to sign you in.
Data is held in a secure cloud database operated by Supabase, with role-based access controls. Only Steel Tech Studios Limited has administrative access to your data, and only for support and operational purposes.
While your subscription is active
Your data is retained for as long as your account remains active. You can export your team’s data at any time using the export feature inside the app.
After cancellation — the grace period
When you cancel, your account enters a 60-day grace period:
- The account is read-only — you and your employees can sign in and export data, but cannot enter new time
- You can reactivate by re-subscribing during this period, with no data loss
- You can request earlier permanent deletion at any time (see below)
After the grace period
Once the 60-day grace period ends, all customer data — time entries, profiles, and organisation records — is permanently deleted from our production systems within 7 days. Routine database backups containing your data are purged within a further 30 days.
Requesting earlier deletion
If you need your data deleted before the grace period ends, email help@foveaux.app from the email address associated with your admin account, with the subject line Delete my data. We’ll process the deletion within 30 days and confirm by email when it’s complete.
Employees’ data
Time entries and employee profile data are owned by the customer — the business that holds the Foveaux subscription. Individual employees who want their personal data corrected or removed should first contact their employer’s Foveaux administrator. Where required by law, employees may also contact us directly at help@foveaux.app, and we will act in accordance with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.
Anonymous operational data
We retain aggregate, non-identifying operational data — such as performance metrics and error logs that don’t identify individual users or customers — for as long as it’s useful for keeping Foveaux running reliably.
